Full Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Summary / objective of position:

To provide equity research support to the Research Department, collecting relevant financial information and assisting product managers and analysts in security selection and portfolio management.

Essential functions of position:

Provide support to equity research analysts and product managers

Monitor daily news reports relevant to fund holdings and monitor list stocks

Maintain spreadsheets of key fundamental data and portfolio characteristics

Analyze performance attribution, evaluate return/risk characteristics, perform peer comparisons

Assist research analysts in expanding their coverage list and provide analytical support

Produce introductory reports that describe companies, basic fundamental and valuation data

Perform project work collecting third-party information and conducting data analysis

Help to produce research presentations and publications for internal and external use

Promote and maintain frequent interaction with product managers and analysts

Work on special projects as directed by the Director of Research

Develop skill set and experience necessary to become a research analyst

Leverage AI tools to accelerate and improve research processes

Preferred education and experience

Four-year degree in Finance/Economics or related field

0-3 years of investment research or related experience

Demonstrate commitment to achieving CFA designation

Strong analytical skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Good organizational skills

Demonstrates initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Prior experience with FactSet, Bloomberg, or Advent a plus

Supervisory responsibility: N/A

Travel required: N/A

Work environment: Temperature controlled, office environment

Physical demands: Must be able to stand or sit at computer for 8+ hours per day. May require extensive typing at times.
