Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify solutions that improve business operations, enhance decision-making, and drive business performance.

Responsibilities:

Gathering & Analysis:

Engage with stakeholders, including management, users, and IT teams, to understand business needs.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather and document detailed business requirements.
Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement or new opportunities.

Process Improvement:

Map current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions to optimize workflows.
Work with process owners to design and implement improvements to business operations.

Solution Design & Documentation:

Develop functional specifications and system requirements documentation.
Create business cases and cost-benefit analyses to justify new initiatives.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that proposed solutions align with business needs.

Stakeholder Communication:

Facilitate communication between business units, IT teams, and external vendors.
Provide updates to stakeholders on project progress and highlight any potential risks or issues.
Assist in training staff and end-users on new systems or processes.

Project Management Support:

Participate in project planning, timeline management, and resource allocation.
Ensure project goals and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Assist in risk management and ensure compliance with company policies.

Testing & Validation:

Support the testing of new solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
Review test cases, perform user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide feedback for refinement.

Reporting & Performance Metrics:

Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of new processes or systems.
Prepare regular reports on business performance and improvement initiatives.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in [industry].
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
Experience with data analysis and visualization.
Knowledge of ERP systems, CRM, or other business management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, JIRA, Tableau, etc.).
Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of business process modeling and requirements gathering techniques.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on the computer.
Occasional walking between facilities
Occasional liftin pushing, pulling up to 15 lbs.
