Full Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the retail and technology sector, is seeking a Application Support Level 3 to join their team. As a Application Support Level 3, you will be part of the Support and Operations team supporting the Next Generation Point of Sale (NGPOS) platform. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving instincts, curiosity, and a drive for continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Application Support Level 3

Location:Blue Ash, OH

Pay Range: Depends on experience as per market.

What's the Job?

Partner with cross-functional teams to expedite issue resolution and manage SLAs effectively
Support and maintain infrastructure and applications, including providing onsite support for new go-lives, pilots, and rollouts
Test infrastructure and application changes to ensure stability and performance
Establish priorities and develop specifications for application enhancements and modifications
Monitor systems, consoles, and performance metrics to identify and resolve service interruptions or delays

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Exposure to Point of Sale systems in enterprise environments is helpful; some experience with Java is preferred, Go is a plus
Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), scripting (Shell, PowerShell, or Python), or ITSM/monitoring tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Grafana) is a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to translate technical information for business users
Willingness to learn payment card security standards (PCI-DSS) and participate in a scheduled on-call rotation for 24x7 support
