Summary:
Manages all aspects of poker operations to provide guests with access to play at all ties. Responsible for providing superior service to guests. Ensures efficient, profitable operations, with operating the poker department in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and internal controls. Develops and implements departmental business plans and budgets; manages, directs and develops staff; prepares and conducts performance reviews; provides direction and guidance for the department.
Responsibilities:
1. Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to have MNGE as the casino of choice; actively builds and maintains relations to ensure patrons receive superior service and information to encourage return business; initiates courteous and friendly conversations with guests; greets and welcomes guests to the gaming floor.
2. Circulates among gaming tables to ensure the operations are conducted properly, that there is no unusual/suspicious activity between player, dealer or supervisory staff; listens to guest complaints and resolves situations in an equitable manner to preserve MNGE standards of customer service; documents and reports noteworthy shift events to Poker Manager.
3. Maintains familiarity with card games used at the facility, as well as strategies employed in those games; provides overall gaming instructions to guests when requested, or as assigned, to encourage gaming activity; actively supports current marketing promotions.
4. Monitors staffing levels to ensure the games and tables are adequately staffed for Shift assigned; arranging or coordinating staff rotations and breaks and locating substitute employees as necessary.
5. Oversees management of table chip trays/bank roll; inspecting/changing equipment as deemed necessary; maintaining appropriate game spread; ensuring adequate inventory of gaming supplies for area and generating various operating reports.
6. Provides administrative support to Floor Supervisors, such as preparing work schedules and station assignments; attendance control; budgets developed and controlled; purchase orders reviewed/initiated; ensures short and long term objectives for card games are accomplished.
7. Hires, develops, controls and motivates direct staff; mentors, coaches and provides performance feedback to operating unit personnel; guides or participates in the development of training programs that establish, measure and nurture skills required to perform the work; takes appropriate employment action to recognize superior or inferior performance.
8. Ensures MNGE assets are protected at all times; assists in establishing/monitoring of department standards to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of card games; adherence to gaming regulations and internal controls; maintains safety/welfare of guests and employees.
9. Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION
High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years progressive supervisory experience in Poker; or 2 years progressive supervisory experience in Poker AND one year poker dealing experience. Table Games experience is a plus. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
MCN OPG Gaming License is required.
Key positions required knowledge and application of Title 31 reporting requirements.
Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background check, drug test, and obtain gaming license as required.
