Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced fine-dining environment, follows recipes and standards precisely, and works well under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items to order according to established recipes and plating standards
Set up and maintain assigned station (grill, sauté, fry, pantry, or prep) with proper mise en place
Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature, texture, and presentation
Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures at all times
Communicate clearly with the expeditor, chefs, and fellow cooks during service
Assist with prep work, portioning, and stocking as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station throughout the shift
Help with opening or closing duties, including cleaning and restocking
Support the kitchen team during busy services, special events, and large parties
Follow all recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards without deviation

Requirements

Previous line cook experience in a restaurant setting required (fine dining, steakhouse, or high-volume preferred)
Strong knife skills and solid understanding of cooking techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining quality
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe or equivalent preferred)
Ability to stand for long periods, work in a hot environment, and lift up to 50 lbs
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction from chefs and managers
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
