Join Our Team as an Accounting Assistant!

Are you ready to be part of one of Chattanooga’s largest independent insurance agencies? We’re looking for a Part-time Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team. Here, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals committed to delivering exceptional service and products. As a locally owned company, we offer competitive pay and flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Enhance the accounting department’s capabilities by cross-training in other accounting roles
Data entry and invoicing
Manage office supplies and order new supplies as needed
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Provide backup for answering incoming calls when needed

Qualifications:

Previous accounting experience preferred
Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
Friendly and professional demeanor
Quickbooks/accounting software knowledge and skills a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Experience with Applied Epic Database System a plus

We're looking for someone who is available 25-30 hours a week. We offer a flexible schedule and look forward to adding to our current accounting team.
