Lube Technician Assistant – Heavy Equipment / Construction
Location: Belle Glade, FL – Everglades Water Treatment Project

Pay: $15-$25/hr depending on experience
Schedule: 7am-5pm
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Lube Technician Assistant to support our equipment maintenance operations on a construction job site in Belle Glade, Florida.
This position will work alongside our Lube Technician to perform routine preventative maintenance, lubrication and basic service on heavy construction equipment, trucks and other company vehicles. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious and comfortable working outdoors in an active construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lube Technician with preventative maintenance and routine servicing of heavy construction equipment, trucks and company vehicles
- Perform and assist with oil and filter changes
- Grease equipment and properly lubricate designated grease points
- Check and top off engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and other fluids
- Assist with changing fuel, oil, hydraulic and air filters
- Assist with fueling equipment and vehicles as needed
- Inspect equipment for visible leaks, damaged hoses, loose components and other potential maintenance concerns
- Report equipment issues or needed repairs to the Lube Technician or supervisor
- Gather and organize oils, filters, fluids, tools and other supplies needed for scheduled services
- Assist with maintaining the service/lube truck and keeping it stocked and organized
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Help track completed preventative maintenance and service information
- Properly handle and dispose of used oil, filters and other maintenance materials
- Follow all company and job-site safety requirements
- Wear required PPE and maintain safe work practices around operating heavy equipment
- Perform additional shop, equipment and maintenance support duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge or a strong interest in learning heavy equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively alongside an experienced technician
- Dependable, punctual and willing to work in a construction environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions
- Ability to perform physical work including standing, bending, climbing, lifting and carrying tools and supplies
- Valid driver's license [required/preferred]
- Previous experience with construction equipment, diesel equipment, fleet maintenance, oil/lube service or mechanical work is a plus
- Must be able to meet all job-site access and safety requirements
Preferred Experience
Experience working around equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, dump trucks, service trucks or similar construction equipment is a plus but not required.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
