Plans to Prosper Christian Academy is a small K-5 Christian school for kids with autism. The school is located in downtown Clinton, NC. We are a newly developed and small school of about 30 students in total. Most of our students receive ABA therapy during the instructional day and will have a 1:1 RBT to assist them with tasks, transitions, and managing problem behaviors. We are seeking a dedicated Christian educator to lead and direct our school while also serving as a lead teacher from 8:30-11:30. The ideal candidate will have a background in special educational leadership and instruction and a passion for fostering a positive, engaging learning environment. This role requires excellent leadership skills and planning abilities, and a commitment to the spiritual, academic, and personal growth of students. We operate on a year round school schedule. The School Principal will oversee all aspects of school operations.
Lead Teacher & Principal (Dual Role)

Schedule: Classroom Instruction 8:30–11:30 AM; Administrative Leadership 11:30 AM–4:30 PM
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
I. Lead Teacher Responsibilities (8:30–11:30 AM)
- Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
- Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, social skills, and Bible-based lessons.
- Implement ABA-informed strategies, including prompting, reinforcement, and data collection.
- Deliver lessons aligned with the academy’s mapped curriculum and yearly scope and sequence.
- Classroom Management & Environment
- Maintain a structured, nurturing, and faith-centered classroom environment.
- Manage student behavior using consistent expectations and ABA principles.
- Supervise students during all instructional activities, transitions, and routines.
- Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring
- Track academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress.
- Maintain accurate records, data sheets, and documentation.
- Collaborate with RBTs and support staff to ensure fidelity of individualized plans.
- Instructional Communication
- Provide timely updates to families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Prepare weekly learning summaries, newsletters, or parent communication as needed.
II. Principal Responsibilities (11:30 AM–4:30 PM)School Leadership & Culture
- Oversee daily school operations, ensuring safety, structure, and adherence to academy values.
- Lead with a Christ-centered approach that reflects the mission and vision of the academy.
- Maintain a positive, professional culture among staff, students, and families.
Staff Supervision & Professional Development
- Conduct classroom walkthroughs, observations, and coaching sessions.
- Provide feedback, training, and support to teachers, RBTs, and administrative staff.
- Assist with onboarding, performance reviews, and staff development plans.
Administrative & Operational Management
- Manage scheduling, staffing assignments, and daily coverage needs.
- Oversee attendance, incident reports, communication logs, and operational documentation.
- Coordinate school calendars, events, and communication with families.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to licensing, safety, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain accurate records for audits, enrollment, and regulatory compliance.
- Review and update policies, procedures, and operational systems as needed.
Family & Community Engagement
- Communicate schoolwide updates, announcements, and event information.
- Meet with families regarding concerns, progress, or school matters.
- Represent the academy in community partnerships and faith-centered initiatives.
Daily Schedule Overview
7:45–8:30 AM – Arrival, classroom setup, staff check-in
8:30–11:30 AM – Classroom instruction (protected teaching block) *Once per week a 30- minute block during this time would be utilized for classroom observations*
11:30 AM–12:00 PM – Transition to administrative duties
12:00–4:30 PM – Administrative leadership, staff supervision, documentation, meetings, family communication, and operational management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood, Special Education, or related field (required).
- Experience in early childhood education, or special education (preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism and grace.
- Commitment to Christian education and faith-based leadership.
- Experience supervising staff or leading teams (preferred).

Pay: $50,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
