Full Job Description

Legal Administrative Assistant

At Carmody Holliday Legal Services, PLLC, we are dedicated to redefining the real estate attorney image beyond just real estate deed work. Our office provides a vast knowledge of various niche sub-variants of real estate knowledge including, but not limited to, zoning and wind regulation, mineral rights, renewable energy, etc. Founded in 2009, we are a fast-moving, boutique law firm who focuses on providing professionalism, quality legal services, and strong client communication. In addition to real estate law, our office also provides legal services for landlord tenant disputes, estate planning, business and commercial law, probate, surplus recovery, etc. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a self-starter environment and provide precision and efficiency to aid in the firm’s overall success.

Responsibilities:

Manage client relationships
Organize office operations
Control office communications
Record and store client information
Prepare, organize, and file legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, depositions, and court dates
Conduct client intake interviews and maintain client files (physical and electronic)
Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and external vendors
Handle general office tasks including phones, mail, billing support, and file management
Maintain strict confidentiality and high ethical standards at all times

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a legal assistant or other legal field
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Products, Adobe software
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
Professional demeanor and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for miscellaneous office errands.

Education and Experience: Associates' Degree or 2-3 years professional experience, working knowledge of case management software. Supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth, stable hours in a friendly, small-firm setting (no excessive overtime expected). Applicant must be located within 50 miles of Missoula, MT.
