Full Job Description

810 Billiards & Bowling is seeking an experienced and energetic Kitchen & Beverage Manager to lead all food and beverage operations within our entertainment venue. This position is responsible for overseeing our full-service kitchen, bar, and ice cream shop while ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, food safety compliance, and team development.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing multiple food and beverage concepts simultaneously.

This role will work closely with the General Manager to ensure operational excellence across restaurant service, bowling guests, arcade guests, birthday parties, corporate events, and special venue functions.

ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development

Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop kitchen, bar, and ice cream shop team members.
Create weekly staff schedules and manage labor costs.
Lead daily pre-shift meetings and team communications.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
Foster a positive, accountable, and guest-focused culture.

Kitchen Management

Oversee all food preparation and execution.
Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained.
Monitor ticket times and kitchen efficiency.
Coordinate food service for parties, events, leagues, and group functions.
Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures.

Bar Management

Oversee daily bar operations and beverage service.
Maintain liquor, beer, wine, and beverage inventories.
Ensure compliance with all Alabama ABC regulations.
Train bartenders on recipes, service standards, and responsible alcohol service.
Monitor beverage costs and implement controls to reduce waste and loss.

Ice Cream Shop Management

Oversee daily operations of the venue's ice cream shop.
Ensure product quality and presentation standards are maintained.
Manage inventory and ordering.
Train staff on service standards and upselling techniques.
Drive sales through promotions and guest engagement.

Inventory & Financial Management

Manage food, beverage, and supply ordering.
Conduct weekly inventory counts.
Control food, beverage, and labor costs.
Analyze sales reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing when appropriate.

Safety & Sanitation

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health regulations.
Maintain food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of kitchen, bar, and storage areas.
Ensure all employees follow safety protocols and company policies.

Guest Experience

Deliver exceptional guest service standards.
Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.
Support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests.

QualificationsRequired

Minimum 3 years of restaurant, kitchen, bar, or food service management experience.
Proven leadership experience managing teams.
Strong understanding of food cost, labor management, and inventory control.
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.

Preferred

ServSafe Manager Certification.
Experience managing bar operations.
Experience in family entertainment centers, bowling centers, sports bars, or hospitality venues.
Experience managing multiple departments under one roof.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and entertainment environment.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
