Legal Assistant / Junior Paralegal (Fully Remote Position)
Boutique Colorado Civil Litigation Firm

We are a Colorado-based boutique civil litigation firm seeking a highly capable Legal Assistant / Junior Paralegal to support our senior paralegal and litigation team in a fully remote role. This position is ideal for someone who brings strong litigation fundamentals, exceptional attention to detail, and the judgment to work in a sophisticated, client-focused practice.

This is a hybrid role combining traditional legal assistant responsibilities with paralegal support. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing litigation logistics while also assisting with discovery, filings, and case preparation at a high level.

We are seeking someone who wants to grow with the firm, is interested in being mentored, and wants to grow into an exceptional litigation paralegal.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide direct support to the senior paralegal in managing active civil litigation matters

· Draft, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence in Colorado state and federal courts

· Assist with discovery, including drafting requests and responses, preparing productions, and tracking/prioritizing deadlines

· Maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, and task lists with precision

· Manage electronic case files and document management systems

· Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors

· Assist with billing and timekeeping, including entering/proofreading attorney and paralegal time, processing invoices, entering expenses, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm billing requirements

· Manage new client intake and initial screening, including gathering and organizing prospective client information, coordinating conflict checks, drafting fee agreements, and facilitating timely follow-up and onboarding when matters are accepted

· Proactively handle administrative and litigation support tasks as needed

· Assist with deposition, hearing, and trial preparation as needed

Qualifications:

· Prior experience in civil litigation in a legal assistant or paralegal capacity

· Familiarity with Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and court filing requirements preferred

· Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills

· Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines with minimal supervision

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice software (experience with PracticePanther and Box is a plus)

· Comfortable working remotely while maintaining a high level of responsiveness, productivity, and accountability
