Personal Lines Underwriter & Trainer

About the Role

Access Plus is looking for an experienced Personal Lines Underwriter & Trainer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key part of delivering exceptional service to our member agents, managing underwriting processes, and supporting the training and development of member agents. What You’ll Do

Underwriting & New Business

Manage underwriting processes and quoting needs, reviewing existing policies and assisting member agents with inquiries.
Underwrite and write new business for member agents, contributing to the growth of the member agent’s and company’s client base.

Member Agent Training

Support the onboarding and training of member agents, providing guidance on underwriting processes, system usage, and company procedures to ensure agents are equipped to serve their clients effectively.
Take an active role in developing member agents by sharing expertise and best practices to support their growth and effectiveness.

Communication & Relationships

Process member agent’s requests efficiently, answer inquiries promptly (same day or next day by phone/email), and maintain open communication to build strong relationships.

Data & Reporting

Ensure accurate and timely data entry in our CRM, monitor assigned tasks, and provide complete information to internal teams as needed.
Generate reports as required, assisting with data analysis to identify trends and support strategic decision-making.

Problem-Solving & Teamwork

Proactively identify and resolve member agent’s concerns, collaborating with colleagues to find solutions that meet their needs.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to achieve shared objectives and foster a professional and respectful work environment.

What We’re Looking For

Active Colorado P&C License.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in personal lines insurance.
Experience with management systems such as Epic or similar software.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
