Full Job Description

The Raleigh House is seeking a passionate, Behavioral Health Therapist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team. If you're looking for a place where clinical excellence, collaboration, and whole-person healing come together, we'd love to meet you.

This role offers the opportunity to work with adults recovering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in a highly supportive environment. You'll collaborate with experienced clinicians, nurses, medical and behavioral health staff to deliver exceptional, individualized care while helping clients build a foundation for lasting recovery.

Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for providing individual and group psychotherapy and family and couple’s therapy, as needed. This position provides clinical assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, psychoeducation, case management, and clinical aftercare planning skills and activities. Routine documentation of therapy to support best clinical practices and insurance billing is required. This role requires availability Monday through Friday, during the day and to cover evening programming. Night Intensive Out Patient Programming (NIOP) occurs Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays ending at 8:30pm.

Essential Functions

Facilitate individual, family, and group process groups, psychoeducation; complete required documentation within timeline parameters
Provide crisis intervention, ACA diversion, and behavioral interventions as needed for clients. Communicate issues and required interventions/parameters to BHT staff. Timely documentation of such
Participate in the admission process: initial assessments, treatment planning, coordination of care, transmission of case information to appropriate staff, i.e. nursing, BHT, Director(s)
Responsible for psychotherapeutic treatment, case management, collateral contacts, behavioral contracts, treatment plan updates, documentation, and tracking/confronting positive UA/BA results
Adhere to timelines regarding frequency or client contact, service documentation, and accuracy/completeness of documentation
Maintain awareness, understanding, and compliance with all policies/procedures, orientation and training documents, emails, memos, and supervisory actions relevant clinical processes including treatment, documentation, audits, behavior, and clients rules
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical client staffing. Prepare and present accurate clinical case conceptualizations
Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to maintain awareness of client’s medications/ conditions/referral appointments
Assist clients to plan and navigate milieu activities based on level of care and transition to lower levels of care
Accurate and thorough discharge planning promoting continuity of appropriate care
Participate in group and individual supervision, including case presentations, assisting to provide group training, clinical discussion, and on-going training
Licensed staff may be assigned to provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed, intern, or CAC pursuing staff
Participate in internal audits of treatment and IOP/PHP charts; and assist in repairing errors in a timely manner (routinely 24 hours, but shorter timeline expectations might be required due to program or insurance needs)
Assist in client case coverage in the event of staff shortage. This includes completing any documentation that is required during time of coverage
Participate in providing coverage for others and emergent circumstances, as requested by Directors; participate in providing coverage and ancillary support for independently contracted clinical staff or night-time IOP sessions; and
