Full Job Description

Job Type: Registered Imaging Technologist (registry eligible) in MRI, CT and X-ray

Location: Columbia, MO

Salary: Competitive; Negotiable. Based on years of experience.

Overview

If you’re an ARRT (R) (CT) (MRI) certified tech with 2 years of experience or more (preferred), and looking for a full time job, this might be the job for you! We are seeking a MRI/CT registered technologist to perform imaging studies Monday - Friday (9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

Primary Responsibilities

Perform MRI scans on low and high field strength magnets to produce high quality diagnostic images
Perform CT scans to produce high quality diagnostic images
Perform x-ray procedures to produce high quality diagnostic images
Assist radiologist with procedures
Start I.V.’s and administer contrast media as directed per protocol
Evaluate scans for technical quality, process images with appropriate labels/measurements
Ensure patients are informed and comfortable; help keep patient calm ensuring they receive the best care possible.
Communicate effectively with team to ensure seamless process
Maintain complete and accurate patient records
Provide emotional and physical support; meet needs of patients for all procedures

Requirements

Heavy lifting: Frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, stoop and lift and walk without restrictions.

Degree

Associates Degree or higher from approved school of radiologic technology
ARRT certification in X-ray
ARRT certification in MRI
ARRT certification in CT
BLS certification

Qualifications

Radiology workflow knowledge and experience
Excellent communication and organization skills
Experience working in fast-paced environments
Self-motivated and self-directed
Basic computer program knowledge
Prior experience with Hitachi medical equipment and Merge PACS a plus
