Position Summary
Wofford Investments LLC is looking for a dependable and experienced Installer to join our kitchen and bathroom remodeling team.
This is a hands-on position involving residential kitchen and bathroom renovations. The Installer will work alongside the Lead Installer and other team members to complete projects safely, correctly, and efficiently.
The Installer and Lead Installer are expected to communicate, share ideas, and work together when making jobsite decisions. The Lead Installer carries additional communication and coordination responsibilities, but every team member is expected to contribute knowledge, suggestions, and quality workmanship.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform kitchen and bathroom demolition and installation work.
- Install cabinets, vanities, countertops, fixtures, trim, doors, hardware, and accessories.
- Perform tile, flooring, drywall, painting, carpentry, and finish work as needed.
- Assist with remodeling-related plumbing and electrical work based on experience and company authorization.
- Follow approved project drawings, measurements, work orders, and job scopes.
- Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work.
- Maintain dependable attendance and work approximately 40 hours each week.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with the Lead Installer, teammates, Owner, and clients.
- Ask questions or request another opinion when unsure.
- Speak up when work appears incorrect or may cause a future problem.
- Help protect the client’s floors, walls, furniture, and surrounding property.
- Keep tools, materials, walkways, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Assist with daily cleanup and make sure the jobsite is left safe for the client.
- Treat clients, coworkers, and their property with respect.
- Remain calm and professional, even when urgent problems arise.
- Never call out or blame a teammate for a mistake in front of a client or other employees. Company mistakes are handled as our mistakes, followed by our solution.
- Recognize and support teammates when they perform good work.
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use tools and protective equipment.
Suggestions and Additional Work
Installers are encouraged to offer suggestions and discuss additional work that falls within the company’s expertise.
However, additional work may not begin until the client contacts Jay and a change order has been prepared and approved. A change order may or may not involve an additional charge, but it is required so all work is properly documented.
A proper response to a client is:
“That is something we may be able to help you with. Please contact Jay so he can review it and prepare a change order before we begin the additional work.”
