Job Description
The Screen Print Production Technician is responsible for preparing artwork, producing screens, and completing production operations. This position includes creating and modifying artwork in Adobe Photoshop, preparing production-ready screens, and heat sealing and other production processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify customer artwork using Adobe Photoshop.
- Resize, clean up, and adjust artwork to meet production requirements.
- Convert artwork into production-ready files.
- Review artwork for accuracy, image quality, spelling, placement, and color requirements.
- Prepare screens by cleaning, coating, exposing, washing out, and drying them.
- Burn artwork onto screens using exposure equipment.
- Inspect screens for pinholes, defects, registration issues, and image quality.
- Tape screens, block out pinholes, and complete final touch-ups.
- Reclaim used screens by removing ink and emulsion and prepare them for reuse.
- Label, organize, and store completed screens according to the production schedule.
- Heat seal logos, transfers, and other graphics onto garments using heat press equipment.
- Inspect finished garments to ensure proper placement, adhesion, and quality.
- Maintain screen inventory and keep the screen room and production areas clean and organized.
- Clean and maintain artwork, screen-making, and heat press equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and assist with other production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop is preferred.
- Previous screen printing, graphic arts, heat sealing, or apparel decoration experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and follow work orders and production instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Dependable with good attendance and a positive attitude.
Skills
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
- Basic understanding of image resolution, sizing, and file formats.
- Ability to prepare artwork for production.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.

- Frequently lift and carry screens and boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the production area.
- Ability to safely operate heat press equipment and work around production machinery.
Work Environment
This position is performed in both an office and production environment. The employee will work with computers, Adobe Photoshop, screen-making equipment, heat press machines, and other production equipment. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area is essential while following all company safety procedures.
