Full Job Description

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse to join our team. Under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Clinical Nurse will play a crucial role in patient care, acting as a liaison between patients and physicians. If you are a compassionate professional with strong communication skills and extensive nursing knowledge, we encourage you to apply.

Minimum Qualifications:

Cooperative work attitude toward employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians.
Ability to make logical decisions and solve problems.
Ability to perform any nursing duty asked.
Extensive knowledge of nursing techniques.
Clear and proficient communication skills.
Pass security check.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED certificate.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Active license within the state of South Carolina.
CPR certification.
Strong ethical and moral character references.

Duties and Responsibilities:

I. Communication: A. Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, and hospital personnel. B. Documents completely and accurately. C. Interacts with others in a positive, respectful, and considerate manner. D. Conducts themselves as a positive role model and team member. E. Respects patients’ rights to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

II. Duties:

Discusses lab/x-ray results with patients and provides necessary instructions under the direction of their physician.
Reviews charts daily for next-day appointments for completion.
Schedules procedures, tests, and appointments as instructed by the physician and documented.
Documents patient phone calls and prescription refills.
Performs capsule endoscopy.
Performs duties of a medical assistant in their absence.
Ensures recalls are kept current.
Verifies pathology reports are received from hospitals for all inpatient and outpatient procedures.

IV. Dependability: A. Attendance. B. Punctuality. C. Ability to follow instructions. D. Ability to meet deadlines.

V. Physical/Mental Requirements: A. Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time. B. Physical strength for equipment needs and patient care activities. C. Visual and auditory acuity for timely responsiveness and patient-care assessment. D. Ability to move quickly in response to patients’ needs. E. Ability to make frequent judgments and respond to routine problems. F. Ability to make occasional judgments and respond to disasters or emergencies, actual events, or drills.

VI. Regulatory: Abide by OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
