Responsibilities
- Lead calibration, integration, tuning, and validation activities for Electronic Control Modules (ECMs) and integrated control systems.
- Execute controls development processes including software releases, calibration management, testing, and validation.
- Coordinate software, sensor, actuator, and subsystem calibrations across multiple engineering teams.
- Lead controls coordination meetings and communicate technical progress to stakeholders.
- Support software design reviews and product release activities throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform bench testing, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and digital validation activities.
- Coordinate test cell and field testing efforts to verify system performance and reliability.
- Work closely with systems integration teams to release software and calibration packages.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, schedules, validation plans, and system architecture documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve controls-related issues during development and testing.
- Serve as a technical leader while remaining actively involved in hands-on engineering activities.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in embedded software, electronic controls, or engine control systems.
- Advanced experience with software testing, calibration, tuning, and validation.
- Strong experience working with ECMs and integrated sensors and actuators.
- Experience performing HIL, SIL, bench, test cell, and field testing activities.
- Strong understanding of embedded control systems and software integration.
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and technical leadership skills.
