Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dedicated mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. Duties

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth counseling sessions with a focus on mental health issues including PTSD, grief, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring disorders.
Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage urgent situations with professionalism and sensitivity while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions ensuring compliance with clinical documentation standards and EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical records management.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Maintain detailed clinical documentation including treatment progress notes, behavioral management plans, patient assessments, and medical records in accordance with HIPAA standards.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential.
Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities; experience in pediatrics or geriatrics is a plus.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and trauma-focused approaches.
Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
Experience working with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis management skills and behavior management techniques.
Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration; proficiency in clinical documentation standards is essential.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions; experience in inpatient or outpatient settings preferred.
