We are seeking a highly experienced, expert-level Journeyman CNC Machinist for our 2nd shift to tackle complex projects and contribute to our precision manufacturing team.
In this role, you will be integral to the precision manufacturing process, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and extensive expertise in CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. Your core skills will be complemented by premium capabilities in CNC programming and CAD software to enhance production efficiency.
**Wage is based on experience—upwards of $50/hr, plus 2nd shift differential**
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Programming & Operation: Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and manual equipment to produce highly complex parts.
- Multi-Axis Setup: Perform setup and operation of either 4- and 5-axis milling and turning equipment, or 3- and 4-axis milling machines.
- Blueprint reading: Interpret technical drawings and sketches to program, set up, and operate machinery to tight, exacting tolerances.
- Quality & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot jobs and projects on the fly. Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, and gauges) to ensure absolute accuracy.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineers, peers, and the quality department across various levels of experience to review project scopes and determine the best approach for materials and machinery.
- Mathematical Planning: Calculate dimensions, determine the optimal machining method, and plan the sequence of operations to produce specified parts.
- Material Handling: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required.
- Safety & Compliance: Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Perform other machinist-related duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 5–10 years of related CNC machining and manufacturing experience/training required.
- Technical Skills: 5–10 years of proven experience with CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and large machinery.
- Tools: Must possess your own tools.
- Aptitude: Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Screening: Must provide a valid ID and successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

- Work Setting: Work is performed on-site in our fully air-conditioned facility.
- Project Variety: Parts are high-precision components used by military, energy, and aerospace customers. Positions are available in both low/medium-volume production types, as well as low-volume job shop and prototype work.

Schedule & Supplemental Pay
- Shift: Monday-Thursday: 4pm-2am, Friday: 4pm-8pm
- 45 hours/week, overtime pay applies
- Supplemental Pay: Night shift differential pay included
