About MJ2 Marketing

MJ2 Marketing is a boutique digital agency based in Dublin, Ohio. We help clients show up where it counts — in search, in AI-generated answers, and across the digital channels that drive real business. Our work spans SEO, paid media, content strategy, and web — and we're actively building AI into how we work and what we deliver.

We're a small, collaborative team where curiosity is valued as much as output. Everyone here has a direct line to senior leadership and real exposure to client work.

About the Role

We're looking for an early-career analyst (1–3 years) who wants to get good at the technical side of digital marketing — SEO, web analytics, site performance — and is genuinely curious about where AI fits in.

This role works closely with our lead technical strategist on client performance analysis, keyword and content strategy, and web implementation. You'll also be a key partner as we test and integrate AI tools into our workflows and reporting.

This role involves some custom code, primarily Javascript and CSS work inside our Wordpress block library – but coding is only one part of the job. Expect hands-on work in the Wordpress dashboard, and other WYSIWYG/visual builder platforms, building pages, adjusting settings, and fixing layout issues.

AI is part of this job, not a footnote. You'll use AI tools regularly — for research, content drafting, data analysis, and workflow automation — and help the team figure out where they're actually useful and where they're not. No prior AI expertise required; the right attitude matters more.

This Role May Be a Good Fit If you enjoy switching between Google Analytics and Search Console, the WordPress dashboard, making CSS and Javascript tweaks, building client reports, and conducting keyword research all in the same week.

This Role May Not Be a Good Fit If you are looking for a pure content/strategy role with technical component, or if you want a traditional software engineering role focused on application development.

What You’ll Do

Analyze website performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush
Conduct keyword research and support on-page and technical SEO strategy
Build and edit web pages using CMS platforms (primarily WordPress)
Run SEO audits — site structure, crawlability, performance, and on-page settings like titles, metas, schemas, and alt tags
Build clear, actionable reports that track KPIs and surface insights
Collaborate with content, design, and paid media team members on client deliverables
Use and evaluate AI tools for research, content support, and faster client delivery
Help build repeatable SEO and reporting processes the team can reuse across clients

What We’re Looking For

Core Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, web, SEO, analytics, or a related field (internships count)
Strong analytical mindset, comfortable with data and able to draw clear conclusions
Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals: keywords, rankings, on-page optimization
Comfortable working inside a website’s dashboard, like WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Framer, Webflow or similar platforms
Ability to take a web design or feature idea from concept, to code, to content entered in the CMS and published
Clear communicator who can translate data into plain-language insights
High curiosity and a bias toward figuring things out independently
A computer science degree is not required – this is not a full-stack development or data engineering position – it is a marketing position with a specialization in developing and improving client websites

Preferred (But Not Required)

Experience with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
Exposure to HTML/CSS, Javascript, and website CMS platforms like WordPress.
Personal projects, internships, or side work involving websites, analytics, or growth
Interest in AI tools and emerging marketing technology
