Full Job Description

Job Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Project Surveyor to take the lead on field operations across construction projects. In this role, you’ll be responsible for precise layout and control at every stage of building and site development. From deep foundations to topographic scans, you’ll ensure layout accuracy, maintain quality control, and apply cutting-edge survey technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and a passion for precise data collection and analysis. As a Land Surveyor, you will play a critical role in measuring and mapping land features, ensuring accuracy in project designs, and contributing to the successful completion of various construction and development projects. MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE ENTIRE PROJECT FROM START TO FINISH.

Duties

Conduct land surveys using advanced GPS technology and traditional surveying methods to gather accurate data.
Prepare detailed schematics and drafts of survey results, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
Analyze survey data to determine property boundaries, topography, and other critical land features.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to provide essential information for project planning.
Utilize software such as TBC and Civil3D for drafting and modeling survey data.
Apply mathematical principles, including algebra and geometry, to solve complex surveying problems.
Maintain precise records of surveys conducted, including notes on methodologies used and findings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in algebra, geometry, and other mathematical concepts relevant to surveying.
Experience with data collection techniques and tools, including GPS systems.
Familiarity with drafting software such as TBC and Civil3D is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data interpretation.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to clients and team members.
