CT Technologist – Travel Contract

Location: Dayton, Ohio
Position: CT Technologist (Travel)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: July 20, 2026
Shift: 3×12-Hour Mid Shift (Friday–Sunday, 2:30 PM – 3:00 AM)

Job Summary

Hospital is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to independently perform computed tomography (CT) procedures in a busy Level I Trauma Center. The technologist will perform routine and advanced CT imaging, administer contrast media, coordinate patient workflow, maintain imaging equipment, and provide high-quality patient care across emergency, inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, and adult populations. The role may also require assisting in other imaging modalities and participating in on-call coverage as needed.

Required Qualifications

Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or Allied Health.
ARRT (R) certification required.
Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Radiologic License required.
CPR/BLS certification required.
CT Registry (ARRT CT) preferred.
Experience in a Level I Trauma Center required.
Epic EMR experience required.
Previous charge or leadership experience preferred.
Community and teaching hospital experience preferred.

Required Clinical Skills

CT imaging of the abdomen, pelvis, chest, spine, head, neck, and vascular system.
CTA studies including pulmonary embolism, aorta, carotid, and brain perfusion.
Contrast administration and venipuncture.
Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) and post-processing.
Radiation safety and infection control practices.
Experience with GE and Siemens CT scanners.
Ability to work with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality CT examinations using appropriate imaging protocols.
Administer contrast media safely within scope of practice.
Coordinate daily CT workflow and patient scheduling.
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of CT equipment.
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR.
Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, and departmental policies.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely diagnostic imaging.
Float to other imaging areas or Premier facilities as needed.

Additional Information

Level I Trauma Center experience is mandatory.
Travelers must work every other holiday.
Floating to other hospitals may be required.
Up to 24 hours of orientation modules are billable.
Facility may cancel up to two shifts per 13-week contract due to low census.
COVID-19 vaccination is not required.
Flu vaccination is required (medical/religious exemptions accepted).
Local radiology travelers within 30 miles are not eligible.
