Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive team member to collaborate with our accounting staff by assembling Tax Returns and providing Office Administrative support. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling accurate tax returns, performing general office duties and supporting the accounting staff in a fast paced environment.

Duties

Assemble and review tax returns with precision using tax software.
Professional communication with staff and clients.
Proofing and formatting financial statements using MS Word.
Assist with monthly billings, process customer payments and bank deposits.
Processing of annual W2's and 1099's along with quarterly payroll tax returns.
Management of client database and preparation of Engagement Letters.
General office support including daily mail distribution and maintaining office supplies.
Data entry of accounting transactions in Quickbooks software.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while providing exceptional organizational support to the office team.

Experience / Qualifications

Strong computer skills including MS Office and Windows operating systems.
Office experience performing clerical work, experience working for an accounting firm is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment while maintaining high accuracy standards.
Excellent organizational skills coupled with a proactive attitude towards office administration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
