Provide substitute nursing coverage for school clinics
Serve students in K–12 public, private, and charter schools
Support student health needs when regular nurses are absent
Follow district health guidelines and protocols
PSI support available if clinical or workflow questions arise
As a PRN School Health Nurse, you help ensure students have access to safe and responsive healthcare during the school day.
Your work supports student wellness and allows schools to maintain a healthy learning environment where students can focus on learning.
Provide nursing care and health support to students in school settings
Administer medications and monitor student health needs
Assess and respond to illness or injury
Support communicable disease prevention and school health protocols
Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
Maintain accurate health records and documentation
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines
Active Ohio RN License (Required)
Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality standards
Pediatric or school health experience preferred but not required
Basic knowledge of medication administration and communicable disease prevention
Current or willingness to obtain BLS / CPR / First Aid certification
