Fortress Industries LLC is hiring a full-time Mozaik Cabinet Draftsman - CAD/CAM Engineer! Fortress Industries manufactures cabinets, custom casework, millwork products, and countertops for residential and commercial applications. We have a small, close-knit team that values the input of everyone at our company. Overview
Join our team as a Mozaik Cabinet Drafting - CAD/CAM Engineer, where your expertise in computer-aided design and manufacturing will transform conceptual ideas into precise, functional cabinetry solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on detailed drafting, system design, and graphic visualization for custom cabinetry and millwork projects. You will collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, and construction teams to develop accurate 2D and 3D models, ensuring seamless integration from design to production. Bring your passion for CAD software, construction processes, and creative problem-solving to help us deliver exceptional craftsmanship and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed cabinet drawings and schematics using primarily Mozaik cabinet software to meet project specifications and standards.
Utilize SketchUp to create photo realistic renders of custom millwork projects.
Collaborate with interior designers and construction teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility, while maintaining the customers original design intent.
Prepare comprehensive schematics and technical documentation for fabrication processes while maintaining high standards of clarity and detail.
Support the integration of graphic design elements into project layouts and presentations to enhance visual communication.
Assist in troubleshooting design issues by applying mechanical design principles and refining system layouts for optimal functionality.

Required Qualifications

A good understanding of computer file structures, best practices, and naming methods.
A high level of general computer literacy.
The ability to think abstractly about 3D spaces and dimensions.
Highly organized and proficient in task management.
A high level of communication skills; being able to understand and explain complex topics in simple ways.
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a detail-oriented approach to drafting and modeling tasks.
Applicants will be expected to manage their projects, pursue needed information, and meet deadlines.
Self-driven and motivated.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mozaik, Cabinet Vision, KCD, etc. Our main software is Mozaik.
Strong knowledge of cabinet drafting techniques, schematic development, construction documentation, and system design principles.
Experience working on interior design projects or mechanical systems related to cabinetry or furniture manufacturing.
Ability to interpret architectural drawings, schematics, and technical specifications accurately.

Additional Skills

Knowledge of various industry specific materials.
Knowledge of material ordering and PO systems.
Strong familiarity with the Google Workspace, including Drive, Sheets, Meet, etc.

Above all else, Fortress is looking for driven, and disciplined individuals that want to grow and learn within their career. This is an entry level position. Experience comes second to personality and work ethic. Training will be provided wherever necessary.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
