Role Overview

The Business Systems Analyst I (BSA I) is an entry-level to early-career role designed to build a strong foundation in healthcare software, technology integrations, and agile product development. The BSA I supports senior analysts and product teams by documenting requirements, assisting with analysis, and learning the full software development lifecycle within a regulated healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with gathering and documenting business and system requirements
Support user stories, workflows, and process documentation
Participate in sprint ceremonies and stakeholder meetings
Maintain accurate documentation in Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
Support testing and UAT activities
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, and Customer Success teams
Learn healthcare data and integration concepts (FHIR, HL7) under guidance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
0–3 years of relevant experience or internships
Basic understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Strong documentation and communication skills

Other Information:

Hybrid role in Columbus, OH (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Relocation assistance is NOT available for this role.
The essential functions of the job are usually performed in an office setting, in an indoor, temperature controlled environment. The office environment noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. While performing the job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods, standing and walking intermittently, reach with hands, arms, talk or hear. The employee is required to use office equipment such as a computer, mouse, keyboard, printer. The employee may sometimes be required to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
