Full Job Description

The Windsor Companies is a rapidly growing vertically integrated real estate development company located in Powell, OH. Windsor manages property, brokerage services, and construction development. We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable and entrepreneurial minded Accountant to join our team.

General Scope of Work

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing accounting systems and processes that support the company’s long-term stability and success. This includes—but is not limited to—preparing and reviewing ledgers and reconciliations, generating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, regulatory reporting, financial data analytics, and regularly analyzing and reporting on the company's balance sheet and income statement activity.

This role requires strong accounting acumen, independent execution, and the ability to drive improvements and insights that guide leadership decision-making. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to create timely, relevant reports and will take ownership of the integrity and performance of all core accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver accurate and timely monthly financial reports and reconciliations
Generate and distribute receivable, P&L, and profitability reports
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis activities
Monitor, document, and optimize accounting workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy
Respond to inquiries from leadership regarding financial results, trends, and metrics
Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and regulatory requirements
Assist in preparing state/local sales and business tax filings
Serve as the internal owner of the accounting software, including configuration and process improvements
Recommend and implement improvements across accounting functions, including documentation and change management
Provide year-end support to the company’s CPA firm or external auditor
Develop and maintain robust financial data analytics and reporting dashboards.

Required Skill Sets

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in small to mid-sized, fast-paced organizations
Strong technical accounting skills and familiarity with GAAP
Hands-on approach and ability to independently drive projects to completion
Strong execution, problem-solving and analytical abilities
Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills
Comfort working in environments with ambiguity and change
Experience with Sage Intacct is a strongly preferred
High degree of ownership, accuracy, and accountability
Real Estate Development/Construction/Property Management experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
