Procurement Analyst – Technology & Asset Management

Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)
Job Type: Contract

About the Role

We have a contract opportunity with our client for a are seeking a Procurement Analyst – Technology & Asset Management to support the procurement, sourcing, and lifecycle management of technology hardware, software, and IT services. This role is ideal for someone with experience in technology sourcing and purchasing, software renewals, vendor management, and procurement operations.

Responsibilities

Procurement Operations

Support day-to-day procurement activities for technology hardware, software, SaaS subscriptions, and IT services.
Maintain procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, renewals, vendor documentation, and approvals.
Coordinate purchase order processing, invoice reconciliation, and issue resolution with Finance and Purchasing.
Monitor contract terms, renewal dates, and key business requirements to ensure compliance.
Assist with vendor onboarding, documentation, and ongoing vendor administration.
Respond to internal procurement inquiries and provide timely support to stakeholders.

Sourcing

Provide analytical and administrative support for sourcing projects.
Assist with supplier comparisons, pricing analysis, and sourcing documentation.
Coordinate RFP/RFQ activities, including gathering requirements, tracking submissions, and organizing evaluation materials.
Support contract reviews by tracking pricing, renewal schedules, and business terms.

Technology Asset Management

Maintain accurate records for software licenses, hardware assets, contracts, and lifecycle status.
Support software license renewals and technology asset tracking.
Coordinate laptop and hardware deployments, returns, refresh cycles, and inventory updates.
Support employee onboarding and offboarding by ensuring technology assets are properly assigned and recovered.
Assist with asset audits and technology asset disposal in accordance with company policies.

Collaboration

Partner with Technology, Finance, Legal, Purchasing, and business stakeholders.
Serve as a resource for procurement and asset management questions.
Support training and communication related to procurement processes and asset management tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, technology asset management, business analysis, or a related field.
Experience supporting technology procurement, including software, hardware, SaaS subscriptions, or IT services.
Familiarity with software licensing, contract renewals, and technology asset lifecycle management.
Experience supporting RFP/RFQ processes and vendor management activities.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ERP, procurement, or asset management systems such as PeopleSoft, Basware, Ivanti, or similar platforms.
Experience with software asset management or IT procurement.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, PivotTables, and data analysis.
Experience reviewing vendor contracts, pricing, and renewal schedules.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting an internal IT or technology organization and understands the procurement lifecycle for software, hardware, and technology services. You are highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working with vendors and cross-functional stakeholders while managing contracts, renewals, technology assets, and procurement documentation.
