Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, potential weekend work
- Full time
- 8-hour shift
The right candidate will have:
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout the Columbus, Ohio area and spend multiple weeks onsite as required to complete projects
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and a working knowledge of
- project scheduling software
- Skills to communicate clearly verbally, in handwriting, and electronically
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of industrial/commercial mechanical construction manner of working and exceptional jobsite management skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills; Able to effectively allocate and develop resources
Our Journeyman Pipefitter will:
- Assist with layout, fabrication, assembly and installation of both, carbon and stainless steel
- piping as related to industrial processing systems
- Perform mathematical calculations pertaining to the manipulation of angles such as
- rolling offsets, cutback of fittings, and takeout between welds and other fits
- Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge,
- hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods
- Have basic understanding of rigging to safely move piping in and around project area
- Prep material for welding by utilizing application appropriate cutting implements
- Pipefitters must be able to follow blue prints (iso) to construct and install related
- piping and operation systems
- As required, assist fabrication/inventory warehouse with inspection of material and
- equipment received and maintenance of stored equipment
- Ability to motivate, coach, evaluate and provide guidance to all craft workers
- exposed to the project
- Participate in on-going training and career development
- Directly manage job costs on all projects to ensure consistent profitability and make
- changes when needed
- Maintain safe work environment by establishing and enforcing MIELKE safety policies and procedures; ensure compliance with federal, state and local jurisdictions
