HuminRobotics USA Inc. is seeking a Siemens PLC Support Engineer / Junior Controls Engineer to support multiple automation project sites in the United States.
This is an on-site field support role focused on Siemens PLC operation support, equipment troubleshooting, PLC/HMI monitoring, basic diagnostics, and minor control-related modifications under the guidance of a senior Siemens PLC master engineer.
The selected candidate will initially work under the supervision of an experienced Korean Siemens PLC master engineer. During the training and handover period, the candidate will support PLC operation, follow technical instructions, assist with troubleshooting, and learn the customer’s automation equipment and production process. After this period, the candidate will be expected to handle routine PLC support, equipment status checks, issue reporting, and basic troubleshooting more independently.
This position is ideal for a candidate with hands-on experience in Siemens PLC systems, TIA Portal, manufacturing automation, electrical troubleshooting, machine maintenance, or controls support. A senior-level PLC developer is preferred but not required. Candidates with the ability to understand PLC logic, follow instructions, and make minor PLC/HMI modifications under supervision are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Support Siemens PLC systems at multiple U.S. automation project sites.
- Monitor PLC, HMI, alarms, I/O signals, sensors, actuators, and field devices.
- Assist with troubleshooting of automation equipment and production line issues.
- Follow instructions from a senior Siemens PLC master engineer for diagnostics, parameter checks, and minor modifications.
- Support basic PLC/HMI changes under supervision.
- Assist in identifying whether equipment issues are related to PLC, electrical, mechanical, sensor, actuator, or field device problems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.
- Communicate technical issues clearly to the senior engineer, site team, and management.
- Assist with machine setup, commissioning support, customer service engineering, and production support.
- Prepare basic reports, troubleshooting notes, and issue summaries as required.
- Travel between multiple U.S. project sites as needed based on business and project requirements.
- Follow site safety rules, company procedures, and customer requirements.
Required Experience and Skills
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems, preferably Siemens PLC.
- Basic to intermediate experience with Siemens TIA Portal.
- Experience with Siemens S7-1200 and/or S7-1500 is preferred.
- Ability to monitor PLC status, check alarms, and support troubleshooting activities.
- Ability to make minor PLC or HMI modifications under supervision.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and check field devices.
- Experience in automation, manufacturing equipment, machine maintenance, controls, or mechatronics.
- Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Willingness to learn from and work under the direction of a senior Siemens PLC master engineer.
- Ability to support multiple U.S. project sites and travel as required.
- Basic to intermediate English communication ability is required.
- Must be able to understand technical instructions, safety directions, equipment status updates, and troubleshooting guidance in English.
- Must be comfortable communicating with a Korean senior Siemens PLC master engineer using translation tools when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HMI / WinCC.
- Experience supporting automated production lines.
- Experience with EV battery manufacturing equipment or automotive manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with commissioning, machine setup, or customer service engineering.
- Experience with sensors, motors, cylinders, valves, safety devices, conveyors, or industrial robots.
- Experience with AutoCAD, electrical schematics, or machine documentation.
- English fluency is not required, but the candidate must be able to communicate in a basic technical English work environment.
- Mexican candidates who may be eligible for TN status will be considered. The company may provide supporting employment documentation for qualified candidates, subject to internal and legal review.
Work Location
This is an on-site field support role based out of the company’s U.S. office address and supporting multiple automation project sites in the United States. Travel between U.S. project sites will be required depending on project needs. This is not a remote position.
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Expected schedule: approximately 40–60 hours per week depending on site needs.
- Overtime may be available and will be paid for hours worked over 40 hours per week, subject to company policy and applicable law.
- Hourly compensation will be based on Siemens PLC / TIA Portal experience and field support capability.

On-site training and technical guidance will be provided under a senior Siemens PLC master engineer. Housing, commuting, and travel support may be provided depending on project assignment and business needs.
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
