Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience with Volvo equipment.

As a Lead Technician, you will oversee daily shop operations, ensure the maintenance team works efficiently, and report directly to the Director of Maintenance.

* This is a 2nd Shift Opportunity that is a 10 hour shift/Monday to Thursday from 1:00pm to 11:00pm*

BST Lead Technician Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of technicians in the maintenance and repair of equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Coordinate and schedule daily work assignments, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and availability.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring the correct use of tools, equipment, and procedures.
Monitor work progress and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Assist in inventory management, ordering parts, and managing work schedules.
Provide regular reports and updates on maintenance progress and project timelines to the Director of Maintenance.
Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repair history, and performance metrics.
Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance shop operations and reduce downtime.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all employees.

BST Lead Technician Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a Lead Technician or in a leadership role within the maintenance industry.
Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Volvo equipment training and experience is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of shop operations, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make critical decisions quickly.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Ability to work flexible hours, when required.
