New Albany Country Club is seeking an Experienced Sous Chef to help lead a high-performing kitchen delivering exceptional à la carte dining and high-end events for our members.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $50,000–$54,000 (based on experience)

What You’ll Do

Support the Executive Chef & fellow Sous Chefs in daily kitchen operations and leadership
Assist with supervising, training, and developing culinary team members
Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution
Contribute to menu planning across à la carte dining, events, and specialty functions
Manage inventory, food cost controls, and daily raw cost tracking
Expedite during peak service to maintain standards and flow
Maintain strict sanitation, safety, and organization standards
Assist with staffing, scheduling, and kitchen administration
Work any station as needed—this is a hands-on leadership role

What We’re Looking For

Proven Sous Chef or strong Lead Line Cook ready to step up
Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen
Strong understanding of food cost control, prep systems, and execution timing
Passion for presentation, consistency, and member experience
Solid knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards

Qualifications

Culinary degree, ACF certification, or equivalent experience preferred
2+ years kitchen supervisory experience preferred
3+ years total kitchen experience (including lead line role)
