Interacts with residents, all internal departments and other outside agencies such as surveyors.
General Function:
Line Cook must provide for the organized, consistent and timely performance of all
aspects of line execution from a restaurant model (grill, sauté, fry, broil, pasta). Takes
verbal orders from STNA expediting tickets, read and execute ticket orders, and be able
to perform and organize simultaneous multiple plate execution in an appealing manner at
the Direction of the Dietary Manager. Line Cook must be approachable, customer service
driven and cooperative in dealing with both staff and resident issues.
Retirement Center facility;
- Assist in pantry organization;
- Direct STNA when orders are prepared or their status of preparation;
- Interaction with all Dining Services staff in a courteous and professional manner
at all times;
- Work and moves in Dietary area(s) (Main Dining Room, Assisted Living Dining
Room, Independent Living Dining Room);
- Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel,
etc., under all conditions and circumstances;
- Cultivate effective and respectful relationships with residents, families and staff;
- Exhibit behavior in accordance to Country Club Retirement Center Standards of
Conduct;
- Provides outstanding customer service to all customers in accordance with
Country Club Retirement Center Behavior Standards;
- Adhere to all of Country Club Retirement Center’s policies and procedures;
- Maintain confidentiality of staff and residents pertinent health information in
accordance with HIPPA guidelines.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. 1-3 years experience in food service production,
3-5 years in high volume restaurant/retail food service setting preferred.
Because of close contact with the residents, this position has been determined to have
potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens. Country Club Rehabilitation Center
will provide training, information and equipment to minimize the potential risk.
It is a requirement of this position that the individual comply with all privacy policies and
procedures of the Provider and protect the privacy of Personal Health Information as
required by law.
