Stanley Electric U.S. is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of automation experience in a high-volume production environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Automation System Design
- Design and develop automation systems for manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate opportunities for automation to reduce labor and improve efficiency.
- Specify automation equipment, robotics, vision systems, sensors, and controls.
- Develop equipment and fixture specifications as well as statements of work for suppliers.
Robotics & Motion Control
- Program and troubleshoot industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, etc.).
- Optimize robotic cycle times.
- Integrate end-of-arm tooling and automated material handling.
PLC & Controls Engineering
- Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs.
- Configure HMI interfaces.
- Design electrical control systems.
- Integrate servo systems and motion controls.

Vision Systems
- Implement machine vision systems for:
- Part presence

- Eliminate waste using Lean Manufacturing principles.

Equipment Installation
- Manage and participate in equipment installation.
- Coordinate machine acceptance (FAT/SAT).
- Support production startup across a 3-shift operation.
- Validate process capability.
Troubleshooting
- Support production and Maintenance during equipment failures.
- Root cause analysis of automation issues.
- Implement permanent corrective actions.
- Improve equipment reliability.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead automation kaizen events.
- Support cost reduction projects.
- Improve machine uptime.
- Standardize automation across facilities.
Safety
- Ensure equipment complies with:
- OSHA
- NFPA 79
- ANSI
- Company safety standards
- Perform machine risk assessments.
- Implement safety PLCs and guarding.
