This is a full-time position offering remote on-line medication management and therapy work with an option to have in-person sessions as needed.

CNP/PA-C Requirements

Three years of behavioral health care experience in an outpatient setting, pediatric/adolescent experience is a plus
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Experience in AdvancedMD a plus
Medical Practice Management, Electronic Health Records, and Patient Engagement experience is preferred
Ability to pass a criminal background check including maintaining a safe driving record is required
Graduate of an accredited University or College
CNP and/or PA-C with full active license to practice in the State of Ohio
Valid DEA Registration Certification (or pending certification

CNP/PA-C Responsibilities include:

Responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients in a variety of clinical settings during scheduled hours. The scope of services includes outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.
Maintain full day caseloads as assigned to meet the needs of patients including but not limited to new patients, provider coverage, etc.
Adhere to all Emerald Psychiatry and State standards/ protocols when treating patients, recording patient information, and managing electronic health records.
Assess, diagnose, and treat adults, and teenagers experiencing symptoms of behavioral health disorders.
Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders in accordance with Emerald policies.
Collaborate with counselors, social workers, or other treatment team members to coordinate client care.
Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries.
Counsel clients during appointments, as necessary.
Design/participate in the development of individualized treatment plans, incorporating best and leading practices into treatment interventions.
Examine or order laboratory or diagnostic tests for clients to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorders.
Remain knowledgeable and share information regarding Emerald Psychiatry service-lines as appropriate.
Assist in patient management and oversight of clinical service-lines as assigned.
Collaborate with guardians, relatives, and significant others on client’s conditions and treatment when clinically appropriate.
Prepare and submit assessments, progress notes, reports, and summaries to entities/agencies (funders, insurance companies, etc.) as required.
Return calls and emails promptly (within 24 hours of receipt or sooner if clinically necessary)
Responsible for making independent decisions based on protocols developed utilizing national guidelines for treatment interventions.
Maintain respectful communication to support professional relationships with everyone by communicating in a manner that matches patient, co-worker, and provider appropriate comprehension levels.
Records all services performed for accurate billing for services provided in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as payor rules and regulations. Submits billing documents in a timely fashion.
Actively participate in all agency and department education, training, and in-services to confirm understanding of new information or changes to established clinical policies and procedures.
Report any concerns to the Medication Management Manager and work with the supervising Collaborating Doctor as needed.
Perform other duties as required by the Medication Management Manager, Director of Clinical Operations or Leadership team member.
