Full Job Description

Embassy of Winchester in Canal Winchester, OH is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing In-House therapy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and motivated clinician looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

Embassy of Winchester is a 176-bed skilled nursing facility in Canal Winchester, Ohio. We’re committed to delivering optimal care for you or your loved one while providing all the comforts of home.Our facility offers private and semi-private rooms with separate units for short- and long-term services.

Our dedicated staff is one of the most experienced in the area with over 150 years of combined clinical and care knowledge and experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Plan treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
Monitor patient response to treatment intervention
Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition.
Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.
Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.
Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
Advising patients on exercise techniques.
Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options.
Providing educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health.
Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Documenting patient care history.
Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Current OT license in the state of employment.
CPR certification required.
Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred.
Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles, restorative care, and geriatric populations.
Knowledge of Medicare Part A, Part B, and managed care preferred.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
