Client Support Manager — WeekendsKeep It Simple Storage (KISS) · Remote (U.S.-based) · Weekends, Sat & Sun 10am–8pm ET · Path to full-timeRead this part first
We're not looking for someone to sit in a queue and close tickets. We're looking for a person who owns the client experience at KISS — the go-to who makes sure every owner, manager, and tenant gets a fast, clear, complete answer every single time.
If that sounds like a real job and not a job-posting cliché, keep reading.
Quick heads-up: this is a remote, weekend role — Saturdays and Sundays, 10am–8pm Eastern, worked from wherever you are in the U.S. It's a genuine foot in the door: crush it here and there's a real path to a full-time spot on our team.
Who we are
KISS makes self-storage simple. Our OneLock smart-lock platform — the physical locks, the OneLock Access app tenants use, the OneLock Manager app operators use, and the dashboard behind it all — replaces clunky old keys and padlocks with something people can actually run from their phone.
Our clients are storage facility owners and managers. When they win, we win. Your entire job is making sure they win.
What you'll actually do
This role wears two hats, and you'll switch between them all day:
Hat #1 — The support pro. You're the front door. Every incoming client email, every phone call from an owner or manager, every "my tenant can't get into unit 214" — that lands with you. You'll troubleshoot smart-lock issues (cylinder, disc, latch, entry devices), walk people through the apps, and solve the problem calmly and completely. You know our platform cold, so you're the person who actually fixes things instead of escalating everything.
Hat #2 — The proactive one. This is the part most support people never touch. When a client signs on, you don't just wait for them to call — you walk alongside their rollout. You track where each client is, notice when someone's stalled out and sitting on their units, and proactively reach out to get them unstuck. You coach adoption. You make sure they're actually using what they bought and having a smooth experience with it. Fewer problems down the road, happier clients today.
In short: you keep clients moving, keep them happy, and keep them from getting stuck.
A typical weekend shift might look like
- Clearing the client inbox and knocking out a few lock-troubleshooting calls
- Checking in on three clients mid-rollout — one's flying, one needs a quick coaching call, one hasn't logged in for two weeks (time to reach out)
- Hopping on a call with a facility manager who's hit a snag with the Manager app and getting them sorted
- Updating your notes so nothing and no one falls through the cracks
- Being the person clients can reach on a Saturday or Sunday — when a lot of other support lines have gone dark, you're the reason KISS feels dependable
You should apply if you're...
- A genuinely good communicator — clear, warm, and calm whether you're typing an email or talking someone off a ledge on the phone
- Tech-comfortable — you can learn a hardware + software platform fast and explain it to someone who is not tech-comfortable
- Proactive, not reactive — you reach out before problems blow up, and "I'll follow up" actually means you follow up
- Organized to the point of slightly annoying — you track your clients, your rollouts, and your open loops without being reminded
- A problem-solver who takes ownership — you'd rather figure it out than pass it along
- Energized by other people winning — a client's successful rollout genuinely makes your day
- Available every weekend — Saturday and Sunday, 10am–8pm ET (with the option to pick up more weekend hours if you want them)
This probably isn't your gig if...
- You want a heads-down role with minimal phone or people contact
- You like a rigid script and get thrown when a problem doesn't match the playbook
- "Proactive outreach" sounds like extra work you'd rather skip
- You need to be told exactly what to do next, every time
- You see support as just closing tickets, not owning the whole client relationship
- You don't have a quiet, reliable spot to take calls from (this is remote)
- You can only work weekdays — this role is Saturdays and Sundays
