We are a busy and thriving doggie daycare and boarding facility that partners with a day program for adults with special needs. Our unique program is centered around building strong relationships, fostering job skills, and creating a safe and inclusive atmosphere. As a Kennel Staff member, you’ll have the rewarding opportunity to work closely with:
The Dog Pack – Supervise and care for a variety of dogs, ensuring their safety, engagement, and well-being. Learn to read canine body language, manage group play dynamics, and support positive behavior.
The Crew (Adults with Special Needs) – Work side-by-side with our crew members between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., providing guidance and fostering a welcoming, supportive environment as they assist with customer greetings, dog lunches, dog baths, and other daily tasks.

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Prioritization & Time Management: Stay organized and focused, even when things get chaotic, to ensure that all dogs receive proper care and tasks are completed efficiently.
✅ Experience with Dogs (Preferred): Whether you’ve owned a dog, lived with them, or have professional experience (such as in a veterinary or training setting), your background is a huge plus.
✅ Community Spirit: Comfort and enthusiasm in working with adults with special needs, building positive relationships, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive environment.
✅ Physical Stamina: This is a physically active role—on your feet for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
Dog Care & Supervision:
- Oversee off-leash playgroups, ensuring all dogs interact safely and positively.
- Feed, hydrate, and administer medications to dogs as needed.
- Monitor dog behavior and address any issues promptly.
Community Engagement & Support:
- Interact with our day program participants (adults with special needs) between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- Collaborate with the crew by greeting customers, assisting with dog lunch, dog baths, and other floor tasks.
- Build positive relationships with both the adults and customers, contributing to our inclusive, community-driven environment.
Facility Maintenance:
- Keep the doggie daycare facility spotless by performing daily cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, laundry, and sanitizing play areas and kennels.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for dogs and guests alike.
Team Collaboration & Customer Service:
- Work closely with fellow kennel staff and day program participants to maintain a structured, fun, and safe space.
- Provide friendly and professional communication with pet owners, assisting with bookings and handling payments as needed.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

- Our facility operates from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays, with two shifts available:
Opening Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Closing Shift: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Are you available to commit to either of these shifts? If so, do you have a preference for opening or closing shifts?
- On weekends and holidays, we have two shorter shifts:
Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Evening Shift: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
