Position Summary:

The Compounding Pharmacist will prepare and verify non-sterile compounded nasal sprays and ensure every prescription meets the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and quality. You will play a hands-on role in pharmacy operations while helping shape the culture and systems of our startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Compound customized allergy nasal sprays according to Allermi formulations and prescriber specifications
Verify prescriptions and compounded preparations for accuracy and compliance
Maintain thorough documentation and records consistent with state and federal pharmacy regulations
Oversee compounding procedures, calibrate equipment, and implement quality assurance measures
Stay informed about state and federal regulations related to compounding and dispensing non-sterile medications.
Collaborate with prescribers, patients, and the Allermi support team to deliver outstanding care
Assist with inventory management, workflow development, and process improvements as the pharmacy grows
Support startup operations and contribute ideas to continuously enhance pharmacy services

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and precision in formulation and compounding processes.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Proficiency with compounding equipment and techniques.

Qualifications:

Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Current and valid pharmacy license in the state of Ohio
Experience: Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy, particularly with non-sterile compounds, is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Capacity to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds as needed.
