Full Job Description

McConnell Excavating is actively seeking an experienced Utility Pipe Layer to join our team on commercial construction projects in the Columbus area. This is a great opportunity for a skilled groundman who takes pride in quality work and is ready to get started right away.

What You Will Do:

Install and lay underground utility pipe for commercial construction sites
Assist with trenching, grading, and site preparation
Read and follow site plans and grade stakes
Work closely with equipment operators and crew members to ensure accurate placement
Maintain a safe and clean job site at all times

What We Are Looking For:

Prior experience laying utility pipe in a construction environment
Ability to work in trenches and outdoor conditions
Strong understanding of job site safety practices
Dependable and ready to work as part of a team
Ability to start immediately
