Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Engineering Manager specializing in Pipeline and Natural Gas Facilities to lead our engineering teams in the design, development, and optimization of infrastructure projects within the energy sector. This pivotal role involves overseeing complex systems engineering processes, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in mechanical, civil, and systems engineering disciplines, with a strong emphasis on project management, system design, and technical innovation. Your leadership will drive efficiency, foster collaboration across departments, and support our commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of pipeline and natural gas facility projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets through effective project management techniques.
Oversee detailed system design processes utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks; develop schematics, mechanical designs, and civil layouts aligned with project specifications.
Conduct root cause analysis for technical issues during manufacturing, construction, or operational phases to identify solutions that enhance system reliability and safety.
Manage multidisciplinary teams comprising mechanical engineers, civil engineers, systems engineers, and technicians to deliver integrated project outcomes.
Coordinate with manufacturing and construction teams to facilitate seamless project execution while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Utilize data analysis skills for data collection, research, and performance monitoring; employ scripting languages like Python or MATLAB for automation and system simulations.
Implement quality control procedures using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards; ensure designs meet rigorous mechanical knowledge requirements.
Oversee laboratory testing and field inspections utilizing 3D scanners or other advanced tools to validate system integrity.
Develop system design documentation including schematics, technical reports, and laboratory protocols; support system integration efforts using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) where applicable.
Promote continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes, conducting lessons learned sessions, and applying findings to future initiatives.

Experience

Proven experience in project scheduling across large-scale infrastructure projects within the energy or manufacturing sectors.
Extensive background in mechanical engineering principles combined with civil engineering expertise relevant to pipeline infrastructure.
Strong familiarity with systems engineering methodologies applied to complex natural gas facilities; experience with system design software such as SolidWorks or CAD is essential.
Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis on technical issues involving mechanical systems or process failures.
Proficiency in programming languages including Python or C++, along with scripting skills for automation tasks.
Hands-on laboratory experience involving data collection techniques, research activities, or experimental testing related to pipeline components or mechanical systems.
Knowledge of GD&T standards for precision manufacturing; experience with 3D scanning technology is advantageous.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), MATLAB for data analysis or modeling tasks, and schematics development.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes as well as construction practices pertinent to pipeline installation and maintenance.
