About MACC

Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence, Inc. (MACC) is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing equity in behavioral health and human services through culturally and linguistically responsive training, advocacy, technical assistance, and community engagement. MACC partners with behavioral health providers, government agencies, educational institutions, and community organizations to strengthen systems of care, reduce disparities, and improve outcomes for diverse communities across Ohio.

To elevate the voices underserved communities by collaborating with organizations and creating environments that enhance the accessibility, quality, and continuity of behavioral health care.

Position Summary

The Program Director provides strategic leadership, management, and oversight of MACC's programs, training initiatives, advocacy efforts, and grant-funded projects. This position is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of programs that advance MACC's mission and strategic priorities.

Working closely with the Executive Director, the Program Director oversees program operations, manages organizational training initiatives, develops community partnerships, and ensures compliance with grant and contractual requirements. The Program Director also supports organizational sustainability through grant development, data reporting, budget management, and statewide relationship building.

As a member of the leadership team, the Program Director serves as the Assistant Director in the absence of the Executive Director, providing operational leadership and ensuring continuity of organizational functions.

The ideal candidate is an experienced nonprofit or behavioral health leader who is passionate about advancing equity, developing innovative programs, and cultivating partnerships that create meaningful community impact.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Program Leadership

Provide leadership and oversight for all assigned programs, ensuring alignment with MACC's mission, strategic plan, and grant objectives.
Develop, implement, and evaluate behavioral health training, technical assistance, advocacy, and community engagement initiatives.
Monitor program performance using measurable outcomes and recommend continuous quality improvements.
Ensure compliance with grant requirements, contracts, reporting deadlines, and organizational policies.
Develop new program initiatives that respond to emerging behavioral health and community needs.

Training & Education

Lead the planning, scheduling, coordination, and delivery of MACC's statewide training initiatives.
Develop curriculum and facilitate workshops, presentations, webinars, and conferences.
Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on participant feedback and outcomes.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and support to trainers, consultants, and contractors.

Community Engagement & Advocacy

Represent MACC at statewide meetings, conferences, coalitions, and community events.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with behavioral health providers, state agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
Develop and implement strategies to increase MACC's visibility and impact throughout Ohio.
Monitor legislation, public policy, and emerging trends affecting behavioral health, cultural competence, and health equity.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Behavioral Health, Social Work, Education, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field required.

Master's degree preferred.

Equivalent combinations of education, professional certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience

Minimum five years of progressively responsible program management experience.
Experience developing and managing grant-funded programs.
Experience developing and facilitating professional trainings.
Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
Experience with nonprofit management, behavioral health, public health, or human services preferred.

Grants, Operations & Administration

Assist with the development and monitoring of program budgets.
Research funding opportunities and assist with grant writing and grant administration.
Collect, analyze, and report program data to support grant compliance and organizational decision-making.
Maintain program databases and reporting systems.
Assist with planning MACC's annual meeting, conferences, fundraising activities, and special events.

Organizational Leadership

Collaborate with the Executive Director to advance organizational goals and strategic priorities.
Serve as Assistant Director during the Executive Director's absence, providing leadership and operational oversight.
Support organizational planning, policy implementation, and special initiatives as assigned.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt position.

The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. While these are the standard business hours, occasional evening and weekend work is required to support trainings, conferences, board meetings, community events, and other organizational activities. Periodic travel throughout Ohio is expected.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
