Foot and Ankle Physicians of Ohio: Podiatric Medical Assistant

A Podiatric Medical Assistant in our office is a hands‑on, patient‑centered role designed for individuals who want to grow in the medical field without needing a prior MA certification. This position blends clinical skill‑building, patient interaction, and real opportunities to advance into broader medical pathways.

This role is intentionally built for individuals who want to advance in healthcare. The opportunities we provide at our private practice include the following:

-Advanced Clinical Skills — Casting, splinting, orthotic fabrication, and wound care assistance.

- Specialized Podiatric Knowledge — Plantar fasciitis protocols, Achilles tendonitis management, offloading techniques.

- Leadership Pathways — Lead MA roles, training new staff, workflow coordination.

- Medical Career Exploration — Exposure to nursing, radiology, physical therapy, and other medical specialties.

You will work directly with patients and providers in a medium‑to‑fast‑paced podiatric practice, supporting clinical care, diagnostics, and post‑operative recovery. This role is ideal for someone who learns quickly, communicates clearly, and enjoys working one‑on‑one with patients to deliver exceptional care.

Responsibilities

Patient Intake — Room patients, verify information, document chief complaints, and assess pain levels.
Clinical Support — Assist providers during exams, procedures, and follow‑up visits.
Radiographs — Learn to take foot and ankle X‑rays with proper positioning and safety.
Blood Draws — Gain experience in phlebotomy through supervised, on‑the‑job training.
Post‑Op Care — Educate patients on wound care, activity restrictions, and red‑flag symptoms.
Electronic Documentation — Work efficiently in EMR systems to maintain accurate medical records.

Training and education is provided through our office,

-Insurance Education — Coverage basics, authorizations, and podiatry‑specific billing.

- Medical Records — Charting standards, compliance, and documentation accuracy.

- Physical Health Concepts — Anatomy, biomechanics, and podiatric conditions.

- Diagnostic Skills — Radiographs, gait evaluation, and clinical observations.

No certification is required — we train you from the ground up.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
