Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) - persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty member’s tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice. These faculty will have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience.

This is a faculty search for a candidate at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Performance Objectives

The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law seeks to hire a candidate who focuses on business/corporate law and complementary areas.

The selected candidate will begin in the 2027-2028 academic year.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required:

JD or equivalent
Experience in corporate law and complementary areas.

The final offer for this position will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity considerations. While the department has a general budget framework for this role, salary and start-up packages are negotiated by the college leadership and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
