Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert psychiatric care, conduct comprehensive evaluations, and develop personalized treatment plans for a diverse patient population. Your expertise will help improve mental health outcomes across various age groups and clinical settings, including outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, geriatric, and crisis intervention. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through evidence-based practices and innovative therapeutic approaches.

Duties

Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients across different age groups, including children, adults, and geriatrics
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based interventions
Provide medication management and monitor patient responses to optimize treatment efficacy while adhering to DEA regulations and health policies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex needs such as developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, or behavioral health conditions
Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), ensuring compliance with HIPAA and healthcare documentation standards
Offer crisis management services and participate in consultation-liaison psychiatry to support acute psychiatric needs within hospital or clinic settings
Engage in telehealth services to extend psychiatric care remotely, ensuring accessibility for all patients

Skills

Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations in outpatient or inpatient settings
Strong knowledge of mental health counseling techniques including psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy
Familiarity with healthcare diagnosis procedures, medical terminology, and clinical psychiatry practices
Expertise in psychiatric evaluations, intake assessments, and medical documentation within a regulated environment
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or complex trauma such as PTSD
Ability to manage psychiatric crises effectively through crisis management skills and de-escalation techniques
Knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and DEA regulations for controlled substances
Skilled in working with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems and telehealth platforms for remote patient care
Experience in inpatient settings or hospital environments is highly desirable
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and provide patient-centered care
