Full Job Description

Solace at Vivian's is seeking an experienced LISW, MSW, LSW, LPC, or LPCC professional to join our leadership team in a role combining Clinical Supervision, Clinical Compliance, Quality Oversight, and Multi-Site Support across our Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati locations.

This position is integral to maintaining high-quality behavioral health services while supporting organizational compliance with The Joint Commission and Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) standards and requirements.

This is a primarily non-patient-facing leadership position. However, because of our growing census and high volume of admissions, the successful candidate must be willing and clinically capable of stepping in when needed to complete assessments, assist with treatment planning, co-facilitate groups, provide temporary clinical coverage, or support complex and high-acuity cases.

The position offers performance-based bonus eligibility, professional growth, and a clear pathway into Director-level and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical supervision in accordance with Ohio licensure requirements, scope of practice, and professional standards.
Provide clinical leadership and oversight across the organization's Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati locations.
Support ongoing compliance with The Joint Commission, OhioMHAS, organizational policies, and applicable behavioral health standards.
Serve as the organization's clinical documentation compliance leader, monitoring documentation quality, completeness, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory and organizational requirements.
Write, review, implement, and maintain clinical policies and procedures; candidates with strong clinical backgrounds who are willing to develop policy-writing expertise are encouraged to apply.
Oversee the intake, investigation, documentation, tracking, and resolution of patient complaints and grievances.
Assist the organization with obtaining and maintaining applicable mental health housing licensure and regulatory approvals.
Conduct or coordinate documentation reviews, internal audits, chart reviews, and other quality-assurance activities.
Identify compliance deficiencies and assist with developing, implementing, and monitoring corrective action plans.
Educate and train clinical staff regarding documentation standards, policies, regulatory requirements, and identified areas for improvement.
Collaborate with organizational leadership on quality improvement, risk management, accreditation readiness, and clinical operations.
Provide senior clinical consultation for complex, high-risk, or high-acuity cases when needed.
Assist clinical operations during periods of unusually high admissions, staffing shortages, or other organizational needs.

Limited Direct Patient Care

This position is designed to remain primarily leadership, supervision, and compliance focused rather than carrying a routine patient caseload.

Direct clinical responsibilities may include:

Assisting with assessments during periods of high admission volume
Treatment planning and clinical review
Co-facilitating groups when operationally necessary
Temporary coverage during staff vacation, illness, or unexpected vacancies
Emergency clinical situations
Complex or high-acuity cases requiring senior clinical involvement

Required Qualifications

Active Ohio behavioral health professional license or credential appropriate to the responsibilities of the position, such as LISW, LSW, LPC, or LPCC
Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health discipline
Active Medicaid Billing Number
Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience
Strong clinical background in mental health treatment
Strong understanding of clinical documentation and behavioral health standards
Knowledge of The Joint Commission and OhioMHAS requirements, or demonstrated ability to rapidly develop expertise in applicable standards
Experience writing policies and procedures or willingness and ability to learn
Strong leadership, organizational, documentation, critical-thinking, and communication skills
Ability to provide oversight and support across multiple locations

Preferred Qualifications

Independent Ohio licensure and/or supervisory designation appropriate for providing clinical supervision
Previous leadership or clinical supervision experience
Experience with behavioral health compliance, accreditation, or regulatory oversight
Experience with The Joint Commission and/or OhioMHAS surveys
Experience with residential behavioral health programs or mental health housing licensure
Experience conducting chart audits and clinical documentation reviews
Familiarity with quality improvement, corrective action planning, incident review, and risk management
Experience developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures
