Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs
Hours: 36 hrs/wk

Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position in Ohio, requiring 2+ years of experience, ACLS certification, and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

Work in a 31-bed mixed acuity PCU at a large academic medical center in Ohio
Unit primarily supports medicine services, caring for stepdown and med/surg patients
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Epic used for documentation; Omnicell for medication management
Floating required within the health system as needed
Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of PCU or stepdown nursing experience
Proficiency with CPAP/BiPAP and medication titrations required
Must be charge-capable on nights
2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference — no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Former employees of this facility are eligible after a 6-month separation period
RTO must be requested at time of submission and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after booking — candidates outside Ohio should plan to travel to a fingerprinting location in Ohio or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet as soon as possible upon receipt
Multiple parking permit options are available for agency staff near the medical center, ranging from a budget shuttle-based option to a guaranteed on-site garage permit
