Luxury Jewelry Sales Associate, Studio and Events (Dublin/Columbus)
Jewelry by Catherina | Part-Time, On-Call | Studio shifts in Dublin, event booths around Columbus, and select national events | Year-round, busiest April through December
A note from us
Jewelry by Catherina is a founder-led American luxury jewelry house, handmade in Dublin, Ohio by Catherina herself at her studio bench. Every piece is touched by her hands. Our customers wear our jewelry around the clock, for years and sometimes decades, and we are building the next generation of refined active living: jewelry refined enough for a black-tie gala and durable enough to be worn at the barn, the boat, the gala, and the back nine. Under one simple idea: Subtle Elegance for All.
The brand has real momentum, and a lot of it is rooted right here in Columbus. Catherina's studio is in Dublin, Ohio, two miles from Muirfield Village Golf Club, and she is the Official Jewelry Designer of The Memorial Tournament for two consecutive years, including the 50th anniversary playing this year (June 1 through 7). For the 50th, she designed a special commemorative piece incorporating the Memorial's anniversary logo. The Memorial is not a sponsorship she travels to; it is her hometown PGA Tour event. We also sponsor the AQHA Congress Queen's Contest at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress here in Columbus, the largest single-breed horse show in the world. Beyond Ohio, we are an active vendor at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida (the largest equestrian complex in the United States), we have a named co-branded collaboration with LEKKER Boats out of Amsterdam, an active partnership conversation with MAKAI Yachts, and a personal friendship with marine artist Guy Harvey. The brand is on a trajectory most American jewelry brands never reach, and Columbus is the center of it. This role puts you at the front line.
The role is not limited to event booths. Catherina's studio in Dublin is available to associates who want to host private sip-and-shop evenings, charity fundraisers, girls' nights, school or church group outings, or community gatherings. If you have a personal network you would love to bring through the studio, that is welcomed and supported. The same commission and bonus structure applies, and Catherina will partner with you on the planning. For the right associate, this is real upside that turns a personal network into earnings and turns the studio into a brand-experience destination
What it pays
The base structure is $16 to $19 per hour for every hour worked (setup through pack-down), plus a sliding commission on every dollar you personally sell, paid the day you do the work. The commission scale rewards the bigger days disproportionately, which means a strong day can put real money in your pocket.
Sales commission, paid on top of the hourly base:
- $0 to $500: 3%
- $501 to $1,000: 5%
- $1,001 to $2,000: 7%
- $2,001 to $3,500: 9%
- $3,501 to $5,000: 11%
- $5,001 and above: 13%
Three more ways to earn:
- Brand bonus. $1 for every customer email you collect at point of sale. Our database is one of the most valuable assets the brand will build over the next decade, and you are paid to grow it every shift.
- Jewel of the Show. Hit a sales milestone in a single day and Catherina personally helps you choose a piece from her collection, yours to keep. The bigger your day, the more beautiful the piece. This is not a coupon or a discount; it is a real gift from the founder, given personally.
- Catherina Dollars. Convert any portion of your cash earnings into Catherina Dollars at a 2X rate, redeemable at full retail against any piece in the collection. Every dollar you convert becomes two dollars in jewelry. Your hourly pay, your commission, your email bonus, all of it is convertible. Conversions are valid through December 31 of the current year.
Plus a 20 percent associate discount on any personal or gift purchase, anytime, with no minimum. Every piece you buy and wear makes you a stronger ambassador for the brand, whether at the studio or at an event booth.
What you would actually do
- Welcome visitors at the Dublin studio during open hours, Memorial week, sip-and-shop evenings, pop-ups, and private group events
- Style and present the jewelry collection so it reads the way Catherina would present it herself
- Greet every customer warmly. No scripts, no pressure. Treat each interaction as a conversation, not a transaction
- Walk customers through the materials, the founder story, and the documented credentials (Memorial 50th, equestrian heritage, the Dutch craft story, the boat-maker partnerships) when the moment calls for it
- Guide each customer toward the piece that is right for her, across the working price range
- Collect customer emails at the point of purchase, in a way that feels natural rather than transactional
- At event booths off-site, work alongside our setup team and pack down securely at the end of the show
- Represent Jewelry by Catherina the way Catherina would represent it herself, every time
You will work alongside Catherina at some events and solo at others. Working solo means representing the brand without a safety net. We trust you to hold that responsibility. We will train you, brief you on each event, and be a phone call away whenever you need us.
Who we are looking for
We are open to two kinds of candidates: experienced luxury retail sellers who want a flexible second brand they can grow with, and motivated newer sellers with strong instincts who can be trained on the brand vocabulary quickly. What both share is a real respect for craft, an ability to read a customer in 10 seconds, and the confidence to work the full price range comfortably. Most pieces fall between $100 and $1,000, with $40 entry pieces at one end and occasional commissioned work that runs $5,000 or more at the other. The bulk of your day will live in the $100 to $1,000 zone.
Specifically:
- Genuine passion for jewelry, fashion, or design. You wear what you love and you have a point of view
- Sales experience in retail, events, markets, or any customer-facing role where closing actually mattered. Luxury retail background (Tiffany, Saks, Nordstrom, Brighton, Pandora, Kendra Scott, James Avery, etc.) is a meaningful plus but not a hard requirement
- The ability to learn the brand story (founder bio, materials, partnerships, credentials) deeply enough to tell it naturally, not from a script
- Comfort with the working price range ($100 to $1,000 for most pieces), with the confidence to handle entry pieces around $40 and occasional commissioned work at $5,000 or more when those moments come up
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods. We have dedicated setup help for the larger event booths; at smaller events, light setup assistance is appreciated but not your primary role
- Reliability around timing. Events have real start times because customers arrive when the doors open, and we count on you to be there when you said you would be. If something comes up, just tell us early so we can plan
- Excellent communication and an instinct for reading the room
- Weekend availability as the core schedule, with the flexibility to commit a few days ahead once we share the calendar
- Openness to occasional weekday work (random weekday farmers markets, evening events, Memorial week studio shifts, and some larger shows)
A path to more
This role is built to grow. Associates who prove out have a path into bigger event leadership (studio activations around the Memorial Tournament, AQHA Congress, the South Florida coastal circuit, the boat-maker partnership launches), into bespoke commission work alongside Catherina, and over time into roles in the brand's wider lifestyle expansion. The brand is in year one of a multi-year arc, and the people who get on the ride early get to build it with us.
How to apply
Email [email protected] with:
- A short note about yourself. One paragraph is enough; we are not looking for a polished cover letter
- Your sales background, including any luxury retail or event experience you have
- Your general weekend availability for the next couple of months
- One specific reason you would be a fit for this brand in particular, not just any sales role
- A resume if you have one
We read every application personally, and your answers matter more than your resume.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Application Question(s):
- What jewelry do you personally wear every day and why do you choose those pieces?
We want to know if you genuinely love jewelry or just like the idea of it.
- A customer picks up a $300 necklace, says it is beautiful and then puts it back down saying it is too much. Walk us through exactly what you say next.
There is no single right answer. We want to see how you think on your feet.
- Have you ever worked an event, market, festival, or pop-up independently, meaning without a manager present? If yes, describe the role and what that looked like day to day.
Most of your shows will be solo. We need to know you are comfortable owning the floor.

We want to see ambition, strategy, and energy, not just "I would work hard."
- What weekends are you unavailable May through October 2026?
Be specific and honest. Reliability is non-negotiable for us.
- Describe a specific time you turned a hesitant customer into a sale. What did you do and what was the outcome?
