Lead Telecommunications Technician

Description:
The Lead Telecommunications Technician provides field support, quality oversight, and operational coordination for Installation & Repair (I&R) technicians. This role serves as a key resource for field teams by performing quality assurance inspections, assisting with troubleshooting, ensuring installation standards are met, and supporting inventory and material management. The Lead Telecommunications Technician helps drive service quality, technician performance, safety, and operational efficiency while serving as a liaison between technicians, leadership, customers, and provider representatives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced telecommunications professional with strong knowledge of fiber/broadband installation, repair practices, quality standards, and field operations. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, leadership abilities, and the ability to support both field and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day technical support, guidance, and mentorship to I&R technicians.
Perform quality assurance (QA) inspections to ensure installations, repairs, and maintenance activities meet company and provider standards.
Review completed work, identify quality issues, and provide feedback to improve technician performance and customer experience.
Assist technicians with troubleshooting complex installation, repair, and service-related issues.
Serve as a communication link between field technicians, leadership, customers, and provider representatives.
Ensure technicians have the proper tools, materials, and equipment needed to complete daily assignments.
Support inventory control, including receiving, organizing, tracking, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment.
Perform audits of warehouse inventory, vehicles, and field equipment.
Maintain accurate quality reports, documentation, and tracking metrics.
Assist with onboarding and training technicians on company procedures, provider requirements, and best practices.
Support scheduling, workflow coordination, and operational needs.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

3+ years of telecommunications experience, including Installation & Repair (I&R), fiber, broadband, or field operations experience preferred.
Previous experience as a Lead Technician, Senior Technician, or in a mentoring/support role preferred.
Experience performing quality inspections, troubleshooting, or verifying telecommunications work.
Strong understanding of fiber optic, broadband, and telecommunications installation and repair practices.
Experience supporting field technicians and working with customers and/or service providers.
Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, material tracking, and equipment control.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality and compliance issues.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass required background check and drug screening.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call support as needed.
High school diploma or GED required.

Employment with Triage Partners, LLC is contingent upon successful completion of our background check and drug screen process.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
